Domaine du Lendemain — Mireille Ribière, Winemaker & Herbalist

History & heritage

The Estate

“I let the family winemaking gene express itself.”

Born into a family that has worked the land for several generations, I learned very early on the importance of lunar cycles, plants, minerals and observation. An agronomist, and a certified Herbalist since 2020 after three years of study, I have also developed a small distillery of essential oils and hydrosols.

Preserving old vines, replanting family wastelands, creating edible hedgerows… Domaine du Lendemain is a work of heritage, care and transmission.

The seasons of the estate

2017

First grape samples taken from my father's estate to start future cuvées.

2018

Creation of Domaine du Lendemain. Rescue of 2 ha of very old vines of grey and white Grenache planted in 1900.

2019

3 ha of Carignan, Lledoner pelut and a touch of Muscat petits grains complete the planting. The first cuvées, Jeune Pousse 18 and Petit Bourgeon 19, see the light of day — names inspired by herbal medicine, synonymous with regeneration.

2020

My father Bruno Ribière joins me after 30 years of practice on his own estate — Domaine Ferrer Ribière — sharing the same desire to make free-spirited wines, wines that reflect who we are.

2024

My brother, Vincent, joins the project to create a dynamic setting between nature and culture, drawing on his agroecology knowledge gained in Ecuador. He sets up a diversified Mediterranean orchard, with food-bearing species adapted to the changing climate.

Today

12 hectares in production, with low yields but rich in personality.

The Aspres

Terroir

Located in Roussillon, 15 km south of Perpignan, the estate lies on the terroir of the Aspres — a landscape where the Pyrenees meet the Mediterranean. Green hills, red and ochre earth: this unique setting shapes wines with character.

The soils here are varied: silty-clay, stony clay, schist, quartz, limestone… The alluvial terraces of the Pyrenees bring freshness and purity.

The tramontane, the region's emblematic wind, cleanses and protects the vines throughout the year. A dry, bright, windy climate — ideal conditions for growing grape varieties typical of Roussillon, trained as bush vines (gobelet) or Royat cordon.

Our Products

Our Wines

Revisited grape varieties, harvests that come ever earlier and must be timed with precision.

Finding balance… tirelessly, year after year, at the mercy of climatic hazards — and above all of drought.

Juices, nectars, to give birth to honest, authentic wines.

I adapt my harvests and my cuvées to an evolving awareness and to changing consumption: ever more freshness, without ever giving up depth.

Every vintage is unique.

All our cuvées

Label of the cuvée Brin d'Ille — Domaine du Lendemain
IGP Côtes Catalanes White

Brin d'Ille

Revisited grape varieties, because Muscat petit grain & Muscat of Alexandria are not just about sweetness! Aromatic varieties that hide frank, complex personalities behind their exuberance. A dry, thirst-quenching white with a modest, very juicy 12° alcohol.
A touch of originality for a lieu-dit called l'Ille.

Label of the cuvée Filou du Jour — Domaine du Lendemain
IGP Côtes Catalanes Rosé

Filou du Jour

How to be reconciled with rosé… a bistronomic rosé.
What a rascal!

Label of the cuvée Petit Bourgeon — Domaine du Lendemain
IGP Côtes Catalanes Red

Petit Bourgeon

A bud concentrates all the information of the plant, which can be extracted to obtain its quintessence — biochemical, energetic and symbolic alike. A single cell can reconstitute the whole plant. The bud is a bridge between sky and earth, influenced by the 4 elements (water, earth, air, fire). The bud represents an entire cycle of plant formation, the plant gathering its strength to unfold it anew.

Label of the cuvée Jeune Pousse — Domaine du Lendemain
IGP Côtes Catalanes White

Jeune Pousse

A young shoot concentrates all the information of the plant, which can be extracted to obtain its quintessence — biochemical, energetic and symbolic alike. A single cell can reconstitute the whole plant. The young shoot is a bridge between sky and earth, influenced by the 4 elements (water, earth, air, fire). A young shoot represents an entire cycle of plant formation, the plant gathering its strength to unfold it anew.

Label of the cuvée Bouquet Bohème — Domaine du Lendemain
IGP Côtes Catalanes Red

Bouquet Bohème

Old-vine Grenache noir on a schist terroir that brings freshness and minerality. This cuvée emphasises the floral side of Grenache. Old-vine Carignan, an explosion of fruit, and a little very juicy Syrah.
Notes of wild rose and geranium carried by a modest 12.5° alcohol.

Label of the cuvée Les Centenaires — Domaine du Lendemain
IGP Côtes Catalanes Red

Les Centenaires

Among the flagship grape varieties of the département, Carignan had its hour of glory in the 1960s. It is the quintessential rustic Catalan variety and the one that best withstands the harsh conditions of our Mediterranean climate. It contributed greatly to the reputation of the famous Côtes du Roussillon appellation.
For some thirty years it has been ripped out wholesale, but at Domaine du Lendemain we revere it and give it a place of its own as a single-variety wine. The family heritage is no small matter, since it is a Carignan from a hundred-year-old vineyard that I have the chance to reveal to you.

Label of the cuvée Genèse — Domaine du Lendemain
IGP Côtes Catalanes Red

Genèse

Among the flagship grape varieties of the département, Carignan had its hour of glory in the 1960s. It is the quintessential rustic Catalan variety and the one that best withstands the harsh conditions of our Mediterranean climate. It contributed greatly to the reputation of the famous Côtes du Roussillon appellation.
For some thirty years it has been ripped out wholesale, but at Domaine du Lendemain we revere it and give it a place of its own as a single-variety wine. The family heritage is no small matter, since it is a pre-phylloxera Carignan, planted in 1878, that I have the chance to reveal to you.

Label of the cuvée El Pelut — Domaine du Lendemain
IGP Côtes Catalanes Red

El Pelut

A forgotten Catalan variety, Lledoner pelut is the hairy cousin of Grenache, though much more rustic. The fuzz on the underside of its leaves lets it capture as much moisture as possible and limit evapotranspiration… an ancient variety for the future!
Lledoner means nettle tree (hackberry) in Catalan, an emblematic Mediterranean tree that shades the surroundings of springs… which are becoming ever rarer.

Label of the cuvée Aura Libre — Domaine du Lendemain
IGP Côtes Catalanes Red

Aura Libre

An aura is the atmosphere that surrounds a being, a plant, a place… it is what emanates from everything in which energy flows.
Our Syrah grows on a plot chosen by the Templars, who settled here in the 12th century. Born of an alleu, then “a free land answering to no lord and exempt from any feudal duty”, they named it Mas Deu.
That is why I chose the famous dancer Loïe Fuller to represent this Aura Libre cuvée. A woman who freed the codes of dance and of the body to become the origin of contemporary dance!

Label of the cuvée Pied d'Argile — Domaine du Lendemain
IGP Côtes Catalanes Red

Pied d'Argile

Mourvèdre, however fiery and wild, knows how to reveal suppleness and elegance.
Like a stallion (hidden in the vine stock), it will always surprise you.

Label of the cuvée Terre d'Étoiles, Côtes du Roussillon — Domaine du Lendemain
AOP Côtes du Roussillon Red

Terre d'Étoiles

“The balance of the forces at play across the territory of the Aspres.”

Label of the cuvée Terre d'Étoiles, Muscat de Rivesaltes — Domaine du Lendemain
AOP Muscat de Rivesaltes

Terre d'Étoiles

Aromatic bombs, sweet wines are the best-kept secret of French Catalonia. Intensely complex… the wild sweetness of honey, grapes and citrus.
